My bettas love to hide in between the 'betta bulbs' - which are aponogetons, and water sprite. my female betta likes to rest on the hairgrass too, but it has a tendency to collect debri easily, and can get bad algae issues.... like mine
I like guppy grass in my betta tanks, because it is free floating and looks nice. The betta likes to swim between it, and rest on it. Anubias works well too because the leaves are so big that the betta can easily rest on it.
