3 MFF Gymnogeophagus Balzani
10-20 or so larger tetras
10 cories
10 ottos
3 SAE
1 bushynosed pleco

heavily planted with a few large pots or something else for them to breed in, they are large peaceful delayed mouth brooders that are relatively shy, they also need cooler water so depending on where you live you may not need to heat (just have to watch out for the species of tetras, rainbows may work better)

I'm thinking tropheus too, though it wouldn't be cheap. Other than that central american medium sized + pim catfish.....

Don't mix the colours. One nice thing about tropheus is that if you can get a colony in good shape, they'll normally breed. If you can sort out a decent rockwork organisation you can just pull out the young every 3 months or whatever, and they are easy to sell for good money! However, mix colours and you will end up with fry that are worth approximately zero instead of 5+ dollars apiece for good colours as they will hybridise very willingly, and the colours do not improve.
