What Color Betta?

Since i am getting a betta for my 3g, what colored betta should i get?
here are 3 choices

BLUE?
RED?
MULTICOLORED?

i would get a red. my reason being the red will stand out, giving ur tank more colour and lighten it up!!

yeah I quite like the red ones. If u cant decide u could always pick a colour out of a hat or go to your lfs and see which ones they have there.

I love my blue Betta but he is quite difficult to see, even with the light on. With a lighter color background he'd stand out more but I just have not done it yet. So if you want a darker dackground then get a lighter colored Betta.

Forget color, go for personality and health! Yes, even in those blasted cups, bettas will display different personality traits, like aggression, fatigue, fear, and excitement.

I like to find the most active, well proportioned, smaller (younger I hope) and responsive betta. Blue and reds are both great. Get a blue with a black head (healthy sign) or a perfect red, or a mix!

Pick a strong, even body (not stubby), and nice full fin formations.

I saw a beautiful red one with white on the tips of his fins...maybe you could find one like that?? I know they are not a common, but they sure r gorgeous and would be worth the wait???

White tips on the ventral fins mean that the betta is older. If you want to rescue an older one, thats great! But I am not sure if you want to settle for a temporary betta.

I saw a really nice one with a dark body and lavendar (light purple) fins the other day.
