Did Santa bring anything for your fish tank? Or perhaps a new fish tank! As soon as the Wife gets home from work we will open presents! I asked for a lot of stuff for my tanks from Santa! Wish me luck!

It was more of a gift to myself, but I was able to use the money people got me to almost cover the cost of my new filter, so that's pretty cool.

Ironically, I too got a new filter for my 55gal...a Penguin 350B...I love it! :p

This is in addition to the newish[like 2-3 weeks old, but still considered] laptop I'm using to write this[otherwise, I'd be completely w/o a computer since my desktop died a few days after getting the laptop] and my new phone that can take pictures of the fish...lol

I had to wait until after Christmas but I got black sand for the cichlid tank and a new heater. (old one broke Christmas eve and no one was open so the fish had to deal with a 7 degree change in temperature for three days). It was 40 outside, I couldn't get the house any warmer. But the Tank looks great now and everyone seems to be doing OK. (water changes every few hours helped keep the temp up.)

My family refuses to feed my aquatic "addiction," as they are wont to call it, so I didn't get anything fishy-related for Christmas...except what I got myself. I got my self two 20lbs bags of CaribSea Tahitian Moon sand for my 46gal, a new pretty little white/blue marble female betta, and some plants. Hopefully this week I'll be getting a stand for my 28gal bowfront so I can move some tanks around, switch some stock, and re-'scape some tanks.

Same with my family...the fish are mine alone to deal with. Although I did get some nice non-fish related things.
I, too, got a lot of nice non-fish related stuff. My sister completely spoiled me (got me a jacket that retails for $160 that I REALLY hope she got on sale and a Swarovski crystal keychain that probably cost more than I paid for all the presents I bought for everyone :p ).

I didn't get anything for my fish (don't feed the addiction..), but I did get a new sled harness for my doggy because we're looking into skiijoring. Or however you spell it. but I did get my brother/his betta a new 5g tank (there's a thread about it somewhere... I'll post it later) **but** I do have some $170 to spend from my birthday & christmas... I still have no idea what to spend it on, but I may get a bunny.. or more fish :D

This year the gf wasn't sure what to get me. So I told her if I finally buy a fish tank she can buy me the fish. I now have an 11g tank and 10 fish, inc a stow away loacher in a plant :D
