My angle fish just are not eating. I dont know whats wrong. I use to have sharks that attacked there food. Are angle fish just that much more clamer. They dont really eat the food when I put it in there. I have tried pellets and flakes. Any suggetions would be nice.

If they're not eating, there's something wrong, angels are some of the most agressive feeders you can get...

Give us some more details, tank setup, occupants, ammonia, nitrite nitrate levels. and what you have been feeding.

BTW, if you want something to feed even the sickest of angels, guppy fry work great :)

They "groove" on tubifex/black worms. You could probably hand feed them. Oh yeah, if you are the "blood 'n guts" type, they love to eat neon tetras . . . they are part of an angel's diet in the wild.

Here's a link, Paula that might help ... note the last paragraph "Hunger Strike". http://fins.actwin.com/species/angelfish.html

P.S. If you make the trip to Amano Shop would love to hear about the experience.

I deffinitly agree with AndyL. Anglefish or some of the most aggressive eaters I've seen, espectially mine. I feed mine a variaty of food. They eat regular flak as a staple and also frozen Brine Shimp and Blood Worms.

I would keep an eye on your fish, there must be something wronge with them. How old are they??

Thank you all so much for the help. My water ph level was pretty high. I got it down some but the product bottel says to only lower it 0.2 every 24 hours. So I will have to check it again later. I just hope my mistakes (of not haveing right in the first) doesnt cause them to go in to shock or die while I am trying to fix the problem.

I would stop fussing with the ph. Chances are, the ph in your lfs is the same as yours in the tank so just leave things as they are & give the fish a chance to get used to thier new home, they will adapt.
They won't starve if they go without for awhile. Just make sure you take out any uneaten foods.
It's VERY stressful on fish to be moved, so give it a little time......Rich
