WHAT DO I NEED TO SHIFT THE SAND IN MY TANK??

I Need something to shift and mix up the sand in my tank because its kinda gettting brown on top in spots and redish. What are somethings that will do that for me? I have a few crabs and a few snails-- so do I need starfish if so what kind??? If theres anything else that I need tell me...

Sand sifting stars, and Sand sifting snails are good choices. A few kinds of cucumbers are good at sifting the sand but as Darkside noted they can be toxic. Sand-sifting gobies are also a good choice.

i would get a pair or a trio of sand sifting stars and some nassarius snails...they looks small but they really pack a punch imo. they are always roaming around digging in and out of the substrate

in a 55, you are really going to need more cleanup crew than you have. i would look at at least 15-20 small hermits (blue legs, or the little red legged ones, or scarlets) and the same number of snails
