When you know you have snails in your gravel but dont want to kill it, I vacuumed the gravel and i didnt see any snails that i know of.. any ideas to have a safe passage for the snail out of the tank and in the bucket or do i just let it be visible for me to pluck out?

Snails are good why get rid of them? But anyway you can get them out is probally going to be ok. You might try baiting them with some lettuce and they should all gather by the bait.

After you vacuum, let the water sit in the bucket for a few minutes (doesn't take long- 3 minutes should be fine). The snails will get a grip on the bucket, so if you pour the water out slowly the snails will be left behind on the bottom or sides, and you can just pick them off and plop them back into the tank.

i just leave my snails. they are no harm and they eat excess food and algae. they do get annoying but i just brush them off the glass.

oh thx guys.. and no im not taking my snails out of my tank i only have 2

If you've got pond snails they will multiply quickly so if you do lose a few in water changes, you won't really notice.
