well i thought it over and im gonna do this the way i started it

guesses dont count as questions so u still have 6 questions left (if i miscounted let me know)

the game really does work better that way...and thats the way it was when i started so thats the way i'll play it, even if no one else does

aznpanther--no, no one has to give hints after a certian amount of questions (they can if they want) and as far as my hint at the beginning being "kinda broad" ...thats kinda the point of the game for it to be narrowed down by the questions asked

aznpanther,
Yes, your right! But we have narrowed it down quite a bit!

-From west and central Africa

-Not a cichlid, killifish, catfish, characin, carp/barb family

-Not a bottom feeder

-Not striped or silver

-Predatory

-Smaller than 10 inches

-Not a butterflyfish, elephant nose, Aba Aba Nile river fish, electric eel, mono or freshwater puffer

-Not in the freshwater profiles

-Only occasionaly available at fish storesfish

-Fresh rather than brakish water

We have to narrow this down further!
Are you primarily found in rivers?

RedTurquoise: Heh heh, I just got the lungfish thing. I actually dreamed about it and woke up getting the joke. Weird how one can dream answers. I sometimes do that with math a physics, weird.
lizwinz: Your right there is nothing specifically in the rules about counting guesses or giving extra clues. When I was GM I specified that guesses would be counted. Also I chose to "give away" the answer when tere was only one question left. I figured someone would still screw it up but they actually pulled through.

To other players: I'm not sure since I'm at school right now but I think that I looked at my fish book and there were no Cyprinids in Africa. Somebody double check this also what is the range of Labrynth fish? Any of those in Africa? The Nile river is in North East Africa right? If thats true its not a Nile river fish.

There is one type of climbing perch, The Banded Climbing perch.... Do a google search for "African Anabantids" and you come up with some good stuff. Most of them live in or around Zaire. Even my 1973 Dr. T Innes book talks about the African labrynths.
