What fish is this?

HI, I just got a pair of these Cichlids, they are about 3/4 inch long.

Heres a pic I took.

its a brichardi, they need a 30gal minimum and can be quiet agressive, they needy a rocky tank with hard water and a high pH, i notcied in rate my tanks that you have this in a planted community, he should not be in there, id return him to the LFS or setup a proper tank

Not easily. Get that pH up to 8 or so or they become very fragile

They are really colorful when i put the flash on, thewy have birght blue

they stay that color as the get old, they just get longer fins

only 18 right now it varies depending on what im keeping at the time, but almost all of the new fish i buy are african cichlids, also being in the cichlid-forums chatroom all the time helping people and learning stuff helps alot

I agree with SoulFish - It's a brichardi.... You pronounce it - I can't! Agressive! They have "helpers" defend the pair's territory (helpers being younger of the same breed). High PH (7.7 -8.8) and temps from 75-85. It almost looks like a daffodil brichardi. Hard to tell by the pic.
