What is a check valve

i was reading on something about DIY CO2's and i seen something about a check valve. Can someone post a pic on what it looks like? Thanks!

you put it in your air hoses so that if a power failur were to occur, that the water from your tank wony syphon back into your airpump cO2 stuff, Basically a one way valve for you hose.

Could be. They come in different configurations, BigCix. Sorry about the link . . . just go to www.bigals.com and put in check valve in the search box. They have quite a few of them.
