My Clown pleco i've had him for about a month now but i have yet to see him eat an algae tablet :\

I was just wondering what is he possibly eating?

Also he has a nice little full belly from the looks of it,not sunken in at all.

Pure posted about this in one thread, he basically said that some fish (plecs in particular) seem to never eat, but grow and have fat tummies. I've experienced this myself so if he is healthy and growing I guess you can assume he is doing okay for himself. That or try to give him some cucumber, mine loved it.

I do have a single piece of slightly large drift wood in there so i guess he could be munching on it.He does seem to almost always be near it.Also i'll have to try a cucumber on him,how would i go about giving it to him in a small slice?

From what I've read somewhere on here zucchini is better for them than cucumber. More nutritional value to it, I do beleive it should be blanched first but I might be mistaken, that might just be so it sinks to the bottom.

Blanched is basically partially cooking a food and in this case a vegetable. Im a chef and "blanching" something usually just refers to partially cooking a vegetable. So take a pot of water, boil it and leave the squash, zucc, or cuke in there for a few minutes till it becomes tender but not mushy.

i rarely see my rubber lip eat. i don't worry about him though because he doesn't have a sunken belly and he always looks pretty happy... there's driftwood in the tank and i go back and forth between algae tablets and bottom feeder tablets. so i assume he gets his share, he's just sneaky. ;)
