What is the best filter to use?

Hey guys. I am just putting my tank back together from a few years back. I just realized for some reason my filter is a Fluval 104 and is way too small for my 55gal tank. What do you think is the best salt water filter for the money? thanks, Nick

I don't use a filter at all with great results. My LR acts as a natural filter, with no place to build up gunk that will increase nitrates. IMHO enough flow and a good skimmer is all you need.

i agree with bala. LR and a skimmer is the best. if you want, you can keep the filter and take the media out and make it into a fuge.

LR means live rock.
