What is the best(small maybe 5" or so) bottomfeeder for a 20g tank. Other inhabitants will be:

1--- Blue Paradise Gourami---Female
2---Sunburst Mickey Mouse Platies---Male and Female
2---Sunburst Dwarf Coral Platies---Male and Female

Also planning on getting either:

5---White Clouds
5---Neon Tetras
3---Blackskirt Tetras,2---Goldskirt Tetras

Well, for each kind of platy you have you could get 1 more female of each. It is the reccommended ratio for livebearers. So you 20g would look like this stocking wise:
1 Blue Paradise Gourami
3 Sunburst Mickey Mouse Platies(1 male 2 females)
3 Sunburst Dwarf Coral Platies(1 male 2 females)
5 of the schooling fish you have listed above
I think that is a perfect stocked 20g. Good Luck!

Thanks. I would do that, and most likely I will go with The Blackskirts and the Goldskirts, but would that leave room for a bottomfeeder?

Yes you could get 2 or 3 otos for algae cleanup.

Nothing eats waste. Left over bits of food yeah sure. But not "waste being produced"

Otos will help keep algae under control that's for sure. With your stocking I would not recommend a BN, and a smaller plec like a clown won't do squat for algae control.

Well now everything is going to look like this:

20g planted(fake)
1 Blue Paradise Fish
1 Gold Gourami
5 Tiger Barbs
2 Ottos

This is going to look so nice because I am planning on getting some driftwood to put in the center and a cave with holes in the top for the side.
