I noticed comming out of my planted tank's flourite a white worm, that moved like an "inch worm" (where it's head and tail push together raising its body up) It is white and very flexable.

What is this, how did it get in there?

I have 6 ottos, 6SAE, 7 shrimp, and some pond snails.

Tank has been up for about a month or so and the plants are doing great. I dont know what to think of this worm however.

btw- I dont feed this tank a thing must have came in with the snails...argghhh

Thanks..but easier said then done. It slithers back into the gravel. I have no idea where it is now.

If it is a parasite or something, it got real big then or I would have noticed it.

Well it is prunning day every tuesday so I will look for it a squash some snails.

BTW I dont think I will introduce the loach I got the Yo-Yo loach unless it can live on algae alone(and snails). The snails have been scrapping off algae(because i dont feed), and I can catch them as they surface to breath. I have snails in another tank(which I put there) so maybe he can go in there.

I was told it is a type of planaria, that is usually found in bad water. It can be introduced in plants, and hard to find cause they roll up in little balls.

So the Hornwort I got really sucks!!! I got a wormy thing, and stupid snails(which I kinda like cause they are eatting mostly algae)

The guy was right, cause now I know where I saw one before, it was in the pet shop's container that they had, which contained black/blood worms. I asked what it was and they said food....yeah ok.

anyway, I will try and get it out.
