What is this?

I don't know what this is but today I noticed my male platy has a dot on his tail. I'm not sure if it is ick or a parasite. Have anyone had this before? Here is a pic:

If it's just a small white dot, chances are it's Whitespot (or ICK, whatever takes your fancy), i suggest doing regular water changes, rasie your tank temperture a little and going down to your LFS as soon as possible to get some solution for it. (they'll be plenty of brands to pick from).
Keep an eye out for more.

It could just be a little scratch. I really can't see from the picture, though. Is the spot in any way fuzzy?
