What is this...?

Hey I cant seem to figure out what this is? Like I know its like bacteria but is it good or bad?
Should I clean it? How?

I have had this tank running for over a year now and it showed up a couple months ago...

looks like a mineral deposit. you ever use aquarium salt in your tank? have a water softener?

No aquarium Salt but I use conditioners and treatments

i'm not sure but looks like mineral deposit from hard water or salt deposit from water softener. i guess wait till someone else chimes in.

Yeah, looks just like salt creep. Unless you're already using it, I would dump whatever conditioner you are using and pick up Prime. My opinion.

Oh - To get rid of it simply use a damp (I suggest distilled or RO water) cloth and wipe down. Try not to let the particles drop back in the tank if you can, but it's not the end of the world if some pieces drop back in.

So I should just change the conditioner?
Do I need to wait a long time? Or should I just do it next time I put more water it?

do you use tap water? is it run through a water softener? if so i don't think its your conditioner (not saying it couldn't be) but what kind do you use?

Good advice on using PRIME.

If you are trying to adjust PH, don't worry about it unless you have very specific reasons to do so.
I used to mess with things to do that and it caused a lot of what you may have there.
