A couple of days ago, I noticed that one of my black mollies was swimming in a strange way, with a bent back. I kept telling myself that she was just sniffing the gravel for food, and that she was really fine.

Well, when I came home from work, I noticed that she is doing VERY poorly. The poor little girl is hovering at the bottom of the tank, and her back is really bent.

All of my other fish are very healthy, with huge appetites. Yesterday, the poor little bent molly was hungry too. Please help :(

Did your mollie have lots of babies? Was she usually pregnant? When this happened to mine, her fertile time was over and she had a vitamin deficiency. She did not make it shortly after. It may just be her time. So sorry.

Actually, she has had A LOT of babies, probably more than 200 in the last few months. All but a few of the babies didn't make it through the first few days.

She's still eating, and trying to swim around. She ate a couple of brine shrip, so I was hoping she would get stronger, but it looks like she's about the same.

Sadly, the vitamin deficiency thing makes sense, especially because all of the other fish are very healthy :(
