Just a curious poll to see what size tanks most of you like to deal with.

Is it mini? small? medium? large? or huge?

List some of your pros and cons about that tank size and why you think it's the best for you, besides the obvious price differences and we all know larger tanks have a larger capacity to keep chemical/biological equilibrium.

I had to pick 21-40 (since there is no group for 46), but my real favorite tank is my 46BF. 2nd favorite is my 29. The bowfront tank is just really pretty. Even if I didnt have any fish in it, its a pretty tank to look at. The 29 I really like because its a good size tank...its not so small that I have to worry about what fish to put in it, but its not so large that I have to rearrange a room for it.

Same feeling for me... the usual sizes of the standards, all the way to 55 gallon are too narrow in depth and just increase in length and height. Once you hit the 75 and 90 gallons, the depth proportion is altered and increased.

I have a 25-gal High (which is about 21 inches tall) and have a tough time getting to the bottom to make adjustments to plants and things. Even with maintenance tools, I still have to get much of my arm soaked. Besides that, it's hard to see what I'm doing.

I enjoy maintenance on my 6-gal much more, but it has a lot of limitations in regards to stocking.

Anyway - I guess I'm a fan of shorter tanks, and not overly huge...at least, not until I move out of an apartment - since the thought of having to move even my 25-gal is not so great. ;)

I like the longer tanks better than taller, since all mine are tall except the 10g and the tall tanks are such a pain and don't have all that much swimming room. I also like larger tanks since they're big enough to keep most anything in. You really can't do a nice African mbuna tank in anything under 50g.
