my girlfriend brought a fish home and has forgotten what kind it was. can somebody tell me. its kinda red maybe a little orange and has black blotches all over. any help would be great.
a picture would be most helpful. Do you know that its a cichlid? You could look through our cichlid profiles (click on profiles up top) and see if you see any fish that look like it?
If no pics a little better description of the body structure would also help. Sounds like a koi or marble summin, but that could be molly, angel, or sword tale to name a few that carry that name.
More discription of the shape of the body and fins would help. I agree with PURE, my brother has Koi tank. He has three that fit that description. Even a Shebumpkin sp? (they look like Koi but are smaller and have long feathery fins.
i was thinking more of a platy or molly personally, but seings how he posted in the cichlid forum, i dunno lol could be a peacock cichlid, but im a newb at cichlids so i am probly no help lol
