Ok my fish i introduced into my tank have ich and now I dont know what to do. what is best to treat my fish because i know there are different kinds of ich treatment like the malachite green thing.

I have a dwarf gourami, a dwarf pleco, 4 cherry barbs, and 5 zebra danios in a 55 gallion tank. It is a planted aquarium with real plants. I know to kill the ich during the hatchling stage thing and all that but I dont know what ich type to buy. please help because i think the white spots have gotten a lot worse now

For ich you should slowly turn your thermometer up to about 85, and leave it there for a week or so, and you can also add salt to your tank. Also do 20-25% water changes a day and make sure you vacuum the substrate really well to get the ich that has fallen off the fish. If you do this you shouldn't need any medication.

+1 on Ryan and Achase...just to add...you should actually leave your temperature up around 85-86F for two weeks. The first week is to kill the ich on the fish, the second week is to make sure it is really gone. After that, you can gradually lower your temperature back down to whatever is normal for your tank.

Is your tank cycled? Do you own a liquid test kit for ammonia, nitrate and nitrite? Clean water is essential to treating ich.
How many dwarf plecos do you have? If you are not overstocked in your main 55 gallon tank and it is cycled, I would add the bleeding heart tetras to the tank. Bleeding hearts are extremely active and are not suitable for a 10 gallon tank. Also, they are incompatible with bettas as bleeding hearts are aggressive feeders and would likely stress your betta. If you do not want to add the bleeding hearts to the 55 gallon, I suggest giving them a new home as they might be okay temporarily, but will never grow to their adult size or be healthy in such a small tank.

yes i have had the 55 gallon for almost 4 months now and it suddenly got ich, i will see to moving my bleeding heart tetras-someone gave them to me and i thought the 55 gallon was too overstocked.

i only have one dwarf pleco i have heard common ones get too big for even a 55 gallon. i have the temp at 84 right now and i am going to keep it there for two weeks. i didnt go buy any fizz tabs or drops for ich because this sounds promising, i hope it works.

right now all my fish have ich and it is pretty bad. one more thing, should i leave the filter running without the charcoal catridge, or just turn it off. do i even need to remove the charcoal?
