Newest addition to my 29g, bought him about a week ago, the tank he was in had 2 signs on it, German Ram and Bolivian Ram. It was 6.99 for the german and 9.99 for the Bolivian. The guy clearly didn't know what kind it was, and said "Well he definetely doesn't look german"....what a help. Anyway he charged me 9.99 for a bolivian ram, and i was just wondering if thats really what he is?

while i'm not mister cichlid,i'd say those 2&3rd pics scream green terror.at any rate not a ram of any type,unless you got the super mystery fish that no one knows about.i'd be looking for my money back.next time try and get familar with the fish and the color variants when shopping for a fish.it's confusing but better than being uninformed when making a purchase,and it makes you look smarter than the clerk.

edit: theres no way thats a blue acara...its definately without a doubt a green terror
edit2: i hope its not in a community tank...if it is...when he gets bigger he'll terrorize the whole tank...he'll kill alot of the fish. as he gets bigger, he will become more agressive
