What Kind of Water temprament??

Hi guys.

I don't know if i said it right but what kind of water activity do Parrot Cichlids like? What i mean is do they like the water still with hardly any movement or do they like the filter on full blast providing a lot of water movement?

I don't keep parrots, but as far as I know they would probably need regular water circulation from a filter. They don't need currents if that's what you mean.

Enough so they don't have to struggle to swim, but will circulate through the whole tank.

I think my uncle uses a RENA XP? (not sure which one) for his parrot cichlids. They don't seem to be having any trouble swimming. Might want to look into this filter since parrots are messy fish.

Thanks guys. Ive put my filter on the very lowest it can be with the air feed open so there is a nice little current and a nice bit of oxygen. As far as i can see they are fine and very active. Thanks again *thumbsup2
