Well, I had to remove my skunk loaches from my 29 gal because they were too agressive with my cories. So now I have a snail problem an no loach. What loaches besides clown loaches (which get to big for my tank) can I get that wont bother my cories but will eat snails?

I have some yoyo loaches and really love them. And they really love the snails I feed them. As far as aggression, I think it depends on the yoyo. I hear that they are the more aggressive of the loaches (lots less then skunks) but mine have not been a problem. A trio might work well for ya…

I have read that some of the "nice" speices of laoches that eat snails are zebra loaches, weather or dojo loaches, and possibly kuhli loaches. I am sure if you do a search and read up a bit that you can find which works best for you.

Sorry i can not be more help, but this should get you started...

What about a couple of Dojo Loaches (Weather Loach)? I have one now, and I'm waiting for my golden one to arrive next week. They are great at getting food from the bottom, and it's fun to watch them burrow under the substrate with nothing but "whiskers" showing.

i don't know about yoyos and corys as i have found that is a bad mix.yoyos are just too active and agressive at feding time.if you have the oppertunity try dwarf chain loaches as i hear they are peaceful and effective snail eaters

hey Kenneth, i am looking into getting some weather loaches. I have read that they like groups, but many places do not even talk about it. I am wondering if you know how many I should keep together?

I'm going to be keeping 2...a regular spotted dojo, and a golden dojo (pick my golden one up Thusday). I think that two would be fine, I have had only one for about a month, and she's doing fine. I have heard to keep four or five, but I don't have the room.
