for decor you can toss in a few live Water Sprite plants. I really like the way they look in any tank, and they're very undemanding.

For fish your best bet is to stop adding anything else. It sounds very overstocked with those goldfish and the knife fish..

Before adding anything, you have a very strange and unsuitable mix of fish in that tank. I'd spend time sorting this out before you even considering adding more fish. For example:

Goldfish - luckily, yours is in a decent-sized tank, but they're not tropical like the other fish you have. 30g is the minimum for a SINGLE goldfish, not 1 goldfish and more fish on top of that.

Knife fish - reach a metre, and aren't suitable for the vast majority of home aquaria. As already mentioned, your other fish will be eaten as it grows. Other fish might be safe now, but wait til he grows.

My suggestion is buy a much bigger tank for the goldfish, without heating and with filtration. How many other goldfish do you have? I'd also suggest you returning your knife-fish to the store asap.

To make it easier for the rest of us to help, could you possibly post a list of all the fish you have, i.e numbers and rough size estimates?

They don't clean the tank for life...only while young. That CAE you have will start attacking your goldfish when it gets older..
In fact, most of the fish in there. They have a habit of latching onto the sides of fish as they grow and eating their mucus coats, which is extremely detrimental to the fishes health, and flat-bodied fish, like the fish in your tank, are especially victimised.

6 goldfish need to be in a pond, or a tank of 150-200 gallons AT LEAST.

i don`t think the sucking mucus will happen. all are quite fast. but right now i want advise for the decor. none are growing, and recently the alage eater stopped chasing goldfish. i don`t get more than dots of alage. i got him because of a giant infection in a corner. the next morning there was a huge hole in it. he`s fully grown.

CAEs grow well over 6" he's not fully grown and will likely get stunted at that size if you keep him in an overcrowded tank like that. stunting is very serious because the fish will meet an early and very painful death.

He WILL attach to your goldfish (and possibly other fish) and he will do it at night when all other fish are sleeping and are defenseless.

In terms of decor I suggested getting some live plants (water Sprite)
If that's not up your alley then try pieces of slate rock.
