What Should I Get?

What should I get for my five gallon? Three female bettas OR a male?

I love the females. You might want to watch for aggression and introduce them all at the same time. Make sure the tank has hiding spaces, as any number less than 5 is at a higher risk of there being fights. This is of course, if you do go with the girls.

id get the one male, or more then 3 females. i kept three in a ten before and two tagteamed up on one, and then killed each other.
more females would solve that problem i think if you wanted the females.

About 4 young females, but I would suggest you put 1 male instead. Females do better in 10gal or larger tank, where the social group is large enough (5-8).

A single male would have a great time in a 5gal. You can add a couple african drarf frogs (not clawed) if you like also.

i would get a male and spoil him with a planted 5 gallon
