What size tank?.

thank you fishydude. i just went onto this forum to ask the SAME exact question about tank size about the same fish (jacks, terrors, plecos). but i would also like to add another question to anybody- instead of getting 4 jacks and 4 terrors, would a 55 or so be suitable for half that including a pleco and maybe another type of fish that can fend for itself?

Amen to that. It seems a 180 gallon tank would be too small as well!! You would need at least 40 gallons alone for the convicts alone. So that leaves 140 for 4 GTs and 4 JDs. And by my calculations, that would be like 17.5 gallons for the GTs and JDs. Then add a pleco?! That sounds pretty crowded to me...

Big, big ,big - you would need a lot of floorspace for territorys, as much as bulk of fish. I wouldn't expect overcrowding to relieve fighting here
