What size to transfer to larger tank?

ok i got my 35 gallon up and running again, finally gettin back into the fish scene again and i decided to go SA again cuz i loved my oscar but wantd something similar but kinda "nicer" in appearance so i have a jack dempsey which is about 3 inches and is just gettin all his colouring and finnage completely repaired.

Im wondering when is a good size to start shoppin for a 55 gallon tank for him?

Also anybody have an idea on growth rate? i heard its like 1/4 inche to 1/2 a month.

I'd say when it reaches 6"?

they reach a quarter inch within three weeks, reach one inch in just over a month after that. Thats what i found.

It just depends how much and what you feed them. And what size tank they are in. I put my bay convicts in my 55gal and they started growing like weeds.

would i be able to do liek 2 JD's or 1 JD and a Green Terror in a 55?

You could do either but not both.

anyone else have opinion on 2 jacks or a jack and GT ina 55? I need to kno so i can start putting them together and growing them out. Talkin to soulfish and he told me 2 jacks only if they are a breeding pair, fishboy told me aggression between only have 2 large cichlids would cause alot of fighing.
Whats ur opinion?
