What species of crayfish do I have?

Hello.

I recently bought what was labeled as an "Australian Blue Lobster" from my LFS and am trying to determine what species it is. The info I got from the people working there was that it would grow to 16". The only species I could find that is common in the aquarium trade and grows to 16" is the Cherax Tenuimanus that is listed as a Critically Endangered Species (CES). I wouldn't think my LFS would sell me a CES. Have I been tricked and is this the Texas or Electric blue crayfish?

Maybe it's a Cherax Destructor but I think the cheliped is too narrow for it to be a Destructor.

Please help me identify it.

Thank you.

I couldn't see them either. But I think most of the lfs sell cobalt blue crayfish which only gets about 6 inches. Some internet fish dealers also sell blue lobsters that get a foot.

it's just a blue crawdad. i'm not sure on the exact species but they are very common. my lfs always has tons of them as well as bright red ones. i've never seen them get bigger then maybe 8 inches long. i have a north american native craw and he is about 8 inches long now which is pretty big for a north american species. if only i had a 5 gallon bucket full of them that size i'd be a happy guy having a few friends over for a crawdad fry lol
