My tank has developed brown algae, is that an indicator of how far along it is in the cycle? I haven't gotten around to purchasing a test kit so I am just curious of whats going on with my tank. Thanks
Unfortunately, there is no way to know how far along in the nitrogen cycle you are in based on a photograph. Algae can appear in a completely cycled tank or in a just set up tank.
