Okay, last night I picked up what I was told was a glass or ghost shrimp.

Anyways, it's got an extremely translucent body. Very long antennae and legs...and two very long arms.  It's a lot light build than my crayfish but it seems to be more openly bold. Reaching out for my ghost catfish, (totally get out of the way of scavenging cory's though).

Anyways, it almost has some sort of banding on it's two claws. Who's arms are VERY long but the claws are fairly small and thin.

It looks somewhat similar to the following to images...but not quite a match.

It is QUITE beautiful, almost having beauty akin to a saltwater shrimp.

Can anyone give my any ideas as to what the heck I bought?

It probably is a ghost or glass shrimp. They are bold. I had one attack my hand once when I went to gravel vac my 2 gallon micro.  The pinch didn't hurt, but it was strong enough to startle me, and the darn thing hung on! But as far as any more specifics than that, you'd probably have to get the thing underneath a microscope to determine species name.

Well, I know people do it to their cats, and it's quite common in nature with regards to crustraceans so I had my shrimp declawed...

He now appears to be a happy and gentile member of my fish community!
