This morning, my betta, Trumpet, had two light brown splotches on his dark brownish black head. They look like they may be indentations... not sure... on is on his forehead, and the other right above his upper lip. Is this a bad case of hexamita? Or did he bump himself and lose scales???? HELPPPPPPP!
Sorry these aren't the best pics. Hope they help!!

Hard to tell... You could either start treating him for something, or wait and see if it gets worse/better over the next 24 hours. If it doesn't get any worse he probably just hurt himself...of course if it gets noticeably worse you might be too late to start medicating :( Your call

one problem... my lfs is Petco. They know nothing there. I'll try Jungle Fungus Clear... but see, I had just been using that a few days ago... sooo I'm thinking I'll go to Petco and look at their meds...

OH no...petco sucks. lol don't bother asking them anything :) Well before you go buy some more meds see if the jungle fungus does anything, and look for pictures online and see if you can find anything that looks similar to what Trumpet has. Would be a waste of money if he just hurt himself and wasn't really sick right?

that's true... i put some melafix in for 2day cuz i can't go out today. It said it heals open wounds, so if it si just scales it should help. Scales grow back, right??? I'll look up pics, thanx!!

My oscar gets a bit excited at times and has lost scales before and busted his lip several times and melafix has always helped. Usualy healed in about 2 days. Just be sure to remove carbon! :)

BTW- i like your background ;)

Had the same problem. I get my bettas from a betta store run by SE Asians. They sold me some almond leaves, and I put in some of the leaf into the filter. It turned the water a pleasant light beige that really looked nice. It also caused the betta to heal. I was told in the wild, the bettas live in such water. In all of their hundreds of betta bowls they put a small piece of leaf.
