Hi Guys,
I came home to find one of my guppy fry (about 4 months, nearly an inch long) without a tail! It was clean off, not a rip.
He was resting in a plant and still alive. I had to put him to sleep with some clove oil as I know he couldn't survive any other way (very upsetting).
I am just dumb founded as to how this happened? He was only young, so not very big at all. I have never had any problem before with my previous adult guppies or mollies or shrimps.
When I have had a guppy die and they rest on the filter, the shrimps come along and strip the body, they couldn't have done this to the fry when he's still alive, could they?
I know I have an aggressive molly but I really don't think she is capable of this.
Does anyone have any ideas what happened?
Thank you x x x
