Ok, so Nemo our HUGE rescued goldfish has gone to a bigger better place (pond) and my little Nelson (blackmoor) died, so we now have 2 fancy goldfish and 2 tiny little things i'm not even sure what they're called?? little minoes/minnows? sp?

Anyways, one of the goldfish has constantly got his head up/under the others tail and pestering it....is he trying to mate???

I have no idea what sex either of them are so just guessing but 'he' won't leave the other one alone!!

I don't want babies in my tank...what do I do?

lol I think you are OK, I doubt they are trying to mate. You might want to take pictures of the fish you call minnows though, maybe we can ID them for you. Funny that your goldfish is doing the pestering. Usually it's the other way around.

Goldfish need larger areas than just a tank to spawn and the minnows and/or the goldfish would probably eat any eggs, so really nothing to worry about unless they are being aggressive.

White cloud mountain minnows. Great fish to go with goldfish. Natural temp range 64-72, can survive down to about 40 fahrenheit. If you had a big tank, a school of them with a couple of goldies would be nice.

Yes, they are white clouds, great little fish. They also come in gold variety. They have the same temperature needs as the goldies, so that is a good choice. Make sure your tank is large enough for all these guys and fully cycled. :)
