What to Choose

I have ten Neon Tetras, and two Honey Gouramies, in a tank that is twenty gallons. I was wondering what algae eaters/ bottom feeders I could put with them?

Cories are nice. I have two peppered cories (one female, one male) but I would recommend getting more than two. They like groups. I've got a twenty gallon two (see sig). I wouldn't get the chinese algea eater though since he's supposed to get five inches long and doesn't really eat algea anyway.

Loaches are fun. I like the yoyos and stratiras.

If you go with the pygmy cories you could have a whole little school of 4 to 6 in the bottom of a 20G and they're every bit as industrious as the larger guys (heck I even find mine more active then my peppered).

I say get 3 Cories max. The tak is already pretty full. If you looking for something to do algae then you can get 2 Ottos also. But I wouldnt get any more than that.

Do Corydoras or Ottos need anything special to live in a tank? Cause I'm thinking of getting some of the two.

They're nocturnal (in theory, though I find cories are often active in the day too) and so they need some shelter to hid in during the day light hours. Also you'll need some algae wafers and maybe the occational sinking pellet for them depending on how much food gets to the bottom and how much plant life is in your tank.
