what to do about J.D. and brown algea??

I have a jack dempsey in a 50 gallon tank by himself and that tank has never got brown algea befor(tank has been going for about 1 year) and now its starting to get it on the rocks and the glass, but the problem is i cant put any algea eaters in with him cuz hes one mean S.O.B he kills ne thing i put with him(probly because he was raised in a tank by himself) but am i pretty much SH** out of luck and just have to clean the rocks and glass??? or are there ne suggestions on what fish i can put in with him to eat the algea??

idk guys i think i might try turning the lights off in my tank for awhile and dont feed him as much, and possibly turn the water temp down a lil. Because this guys a killer iv tried a pleco. befor and he just killed them.
