What to feed Cichlids to get them big fast?

I went to my LFS today and bought some frozen blood worms. The guy there said that they would get the fish big fast. Is this true. What kind of diet in general would get my JD and oscar bigger faster?

I already feed them Pellets, cichlild flakes, crickets, the ocasional guppy, and the blood worms.

Bloodworms, Cali black worms........as long as you feed your fish they will get big. Most of the time you will just have to wait for them to grow. You don't want to overfeed them, plus:

Tons of food = extra food on the bottem = more cleaning.
or
Tons of food = Increse in fish waste = more cleaning.

Your diet looks good as it is to me. Cichlid Fry usually get bigger faster if you feed more, but the bigger they get the more this slows down. (feeding more = bigger faster).

I personally like to watch my fish grow and not race them up to size

The best thing to do for these fish is keep them healthy so you can see them get big. Oh and i mean BIG. All the fish you have will grow very large with proper care.

What size tank are they in?

the two best things: high quality food (pellets or flake or frozen) and frequent water changes... keep the water clean and the fish will grow better

What size tank are they in?

They are in a 80gal.....and the pleco died a few day's ago so now it's just the Jack and Oscar.
