What to use for a Return Into the tank ?

Well i almost have everything i need for my 10 g sump/refuge upgrade . all i need is a return pump and line into the tank .

I want to use 1" Soft hose to something that will put water into my tank ? Can i make something from pvc fitting or what ? what do peaple do when it comes to this . I would buy a directnal u tube return . but will cost $15 after shipping ? i can make some thing for less ?

any pics of peaples returns will be helpful

also i want to use a quitone 3000 its 780 gph . and my overflow is rated at 600 gph . and my head wil be almost 4 head . i should be good right ?

u can either make one out of pvc or buy one already made.... i think i paid $20 at the lfs for mine so i think $15 is fair ... btw the one i have is made from a flexible ball socket and splits into 2

well i ended up buying this :

Directional U-Tube Return 3/4" and 1 "

QuitOne 3000 Return pump (1" Output)780gph

5' of 1" Black Vinyl tubing hose and plastic clamps

also bought a u tube hurricane overflow rated 600 gph

I will drill a hole in the u tube for a break after its all set up . any thoughts ?

use regular metal hose clamps to clamp the return hose to the u tube return. The plastic clamps are not tight enough and you don't ever want it to separate or you will have a house full of water. You may want to get something like this.......
