Here's a link to a video of black skirts.... http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/tetras/tetras_bigger.htm#serpae-tetras
You can see that's your fish, second video on the page. I had six, they were still kinda nippy; I bought two more good-sized ones and that seems to have calmed them down a bit. I guess they just have to have somebody to wrangle with, and if they don't have enough of their own kind they find somebody else to pick on.

You may need to re-home them and get a fish that will work better in a 10g, cuz you won't be able to put anything in there without them picking on it, IMHO. Or, you could get a tank big enough to house a proper school of tetras with some room left over for something else. (I just love an excuse to get a bigger tank. :D )

its defintely a long finned blackskirt tetra.

ive had these in the past, and they can be very aggressive, even in a school.
much more aggressive than any other tetra's ive had in the past.

i wouldn't add anymore of them into a 10G tank though. they would not be very happy about that. mine seemed to be much happier when i put them into my 75G tank. they liked having the swimming room.
