WHATS GOING ON???

My pl*co is changing colors. Is this normal?? Right now he is Black, Light brown, and dark brown??? He is in a 10 gallon for now till he is big enough to put into a 55 gallon...

most (all?) fish change colors when stressed or startled

or is the new color permanent? hes black, light brown, and dark brown...what were the colors before? how have the colors changed exactly? just in brightness?

he was a light brown before... now hes even lighter brown and his spots have become extremely dark

It's fairly common for a lot of pl*cos to vary their shading. And, he's "big enough" for a 55 gallon any time you are ready to put him in there.
