Whats in my sump and filter?

What are the small (5-6mm) cone shaped sponge-like critters which are populating my sump and emperor 400. Also, what are the jumping shrimp looking things living on the carbon filters in the emporer? Anyone know without pictures? Are they anything to worry about. I assume they must be in the main display too and are being eaten.

The sponge like critters are probably sponges, and the jumping shrimp could be some sort of pod or maybe mysid shrimp. Both are good.

Sounds like pyramid snails and copepods or amphipods.

I'm assuming this is a good thing, and surprising too considering I still have less than 5lbs of actual live LR. I'm wondering if the snails I collected from the northern Cali coast brought with them more than just themselves. Some of the snails are still alive and active.
