Whats on my fish?

For the last month I've owned my two ocellaris clowns with little problems, but now there is a weird growth on the gills of one of them. It doesn't seem to be bothering my fish, but seeing it worries me. It looks kind of cottony and isn't growing at all. He doesn't seem to be rubbing up against anything to try and rub it off, and he acts completely normal. I've included a photo of the side in question.
I haven't been able to find anything on it, at least from what I've looked at in my books (Saltwater Aquariums for Dummies and Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkinson) and on the internet.
Any ideas?

Wheres the picture ? to me i know i dont know mutch on marine fish but can you get fungus disease in marine tanks ? i only keep freshwater fishes

hmmmm to me that looks like snail eggs lol !!! but hmmmmm . . . maybe its some kinda fungus ? or maybe its had a fight ? and got a small infection ?

Could I just treat both of them? The one thats had the "cotton" has had it for so long, would it be a good preventative to treat them both with something like Maracyn?

its tough to tell from the picture, but is the cotton stuff on its gills? if so I have seen that kind of infection before on mandarins. it could also be lymph,

Hmm...looks more like a fungus to me. Personally I would treat it as such.
