I keep hearing people talking about sg how do u rise that or lower it

sg is the amount of salt in your water...you either add more salt or do a water change to bring it down

You need either a hydrometer or a refractometer (better) to check the salinity.

So what are other peremeters i should know about saltwater tanks because if i do this i wanna do it right

For a fish-only tank: Salinity, ammonia, nitrates, nitrites and pH

For a reef tank (with corals): The above, plus alkalinity, calcium, phosphates and (maybe) magnesium.
