What's the best filter out there for 90 GAL?

I recently purchases a 90 gallon fish tank. i was given a Millenium 3000 filter. which can pump abount 295 gallons per hour (1100 liters). i'm new to maintaining fish tanks. can someone help me out. should i get another filter? or whats going on here. i dont know much. whats the best filter you can get for 90 gallons. HELP. thanks

the filter says "biofiltering action." does that have the same affect as a bio-wheel? confused...

It kinda does. I'd take it back and get a refund. Go to www.bigalsonline.com and check out filters. They are much cheaper than buying at the local fish store (LFS). I reccommend the Aquaclear brand filters. They are cheap and efficent. I run one on all my tanks.

i plan to put some medium/light live plants, tetra, and pleco at first. then later add some more fish in there. the millenium 3000 is not enough? or what if i kept the millenium 3000 and purchased another filter? that should be okay too right?

if you want harder to keep plants id go with a canister, but seeing as you already have a HOB and you are on lightly planting id add an emperor 400 or aquaclear 500

if u added a whisper 3 it would help the Millenium 3000 filter a lot.

no way get two small canisters and a emperor 400.try fluval 204's or maybe magnum250's
