Whats With My Starfish???

I noticed this when I turn the lights on to my tank. The first two pics were yesterday and the second two are today. Whats wrong???

Could it be some type of parasite? Did it fall off?

No it "shrinks" back inside him.

I have never heard of brittle stars splitting, but it might be possible, I don't have any of my reference material with me, so I can not tell you for sure. Could something have attacked it? I would personally just wait and see, as long as it is eating and acting normal there is not much else you could ask for.

It shrinks back inside? It might be it dislikes light and nothing is wrong. Mine is utterly nocturnal.

I thought so but....Could my Eel be doing this to him??? Take a look at him now... And hes still alive.

And Wayne the first set of pics were taken when the lights were just turned on. He was on his way into the rock work.
