When to add more O2?

Was wondering what to consider when deciding if more O2 needed (above what the filter provides). And what would work best....an air stone or one of those tubes (forget what they're called)?

Will be going bigger in next couple of days....prob. a 20 gallon, and I'm starting to think about what I'll need.

If you have a good filter, you won't need to add an airstone or bubble wall.

Fish gasping at the surface is a sign of low oxygen levels in a tank.

Thanks, Lotus. Went with an Aquaclear 50 for the 20 long. Had planned on a whisper, but the store was out and the Aquaclear was on sale. We'll see how it goes.
