which cichlid

i was thinking about getting a cichlid and wondered which kind would be best for starters how to take care of it and how big it gets because i have always been a tropical section person or natives

well i dont have a tank ready yet i just wanted info on which is the easiest to take care of and i dont plan on getting one anytime soon i was just curious which ones are for starters

Rams are a bit more difficult to care for, at least in my personal experience...maybe its my water i'm not sure. They are a bit more picky when it comes to water quality then other cichlids. But can live in tanks as small as 10gal for a pair up to a large community tank.

Rams are very cool looking fish! One thing you gotta remember is they like water in the 80-82 degree area...Thats why I recomended putting in discus fish too. They both enjoy warmer waters.

do your own research thats the fun of seting up a tank go slow these fish are a far cry from what you have now cat fish ans shiners lol
