HEY!!!!! I will breed rams, because at my LFS ( local fish shop ) they are in high demand there !! WOOH :D

I dont know wether to breed my kribs (that have spawned 4 times, still practasing and trying to get it right) or rams ? you get a lot more money with rams, but i think that kribs are more easier ???
anyway, tell me which one you think i should breed...
Thanks, Adam

Well, you probably won't make much money anyway. You would have to run a preety big operation to make profit i would think. Because you would turn that money right around and buy food, supplies, etc.....not saying its impossible...but most people come out that way. Plus i have no idea of the demand over in the UK where you are.

Now on to your question. I find rams very tough. I personally can't keep them alive for one reason or another. I find kribs much easier. Both of their looks are ok with me if you find good specimens, its really up to you i guess.

If i had to choose......i'd choose......neither ;) Ok if i HAVE to pick i'd breed some other Pelvicachromis species. :D

I could never see making a profit localy from any of the fish I have, or seen. Most of the cichlids I have are just not in any demand, and the LFS will not take them.

Check around at some of you LFS to see what's in demand, but remember. Just because something is in demand now, does not mean that it will be once your fish have spawned and you have grown the fry to a sellable size.

You won't make a thing breeding kribs (you'll struggle to give the fry away), and you'll not make much breeding rams either I'm afraid, cause you have the expense of raising them to sellable fry.
If you want to breed anything try to get some apistogramma.
