white on snail

My friend's snail has white on the tip of his shell, the kinda looks like the inside of a coconut. Want to know if anyone knows what it is, and if it could spread to his fish.

does it go in like a coconut? or is it just color? maybe the snail got dropped, and it broke off the top of the shell....?

To me it looks like just the color maybe he cracked his shell but I couldn't see that.

weird coloration maybe... if the snail seems healthy, i wouldnt worry about it. it is probably just a blemish.
