I have restarted a 10 gallon saltwater tank. I believe that the tank has cycled. At first the nitrates were high, but all levels are now at 0. I checked for several days before I added a couple of fish. I now have white slime all over the tank. Although the levels are 0, I lost both my fish. How do I get rid of the white slime? And what is it?

I think it's called cynobacteria or something??? More info on the tank is useful esspecailly with saltwater. How much flow/powerheads do you have? I think that is usually a problem of not enough flow.

My tank is a 10 gallon tank. I have a filter on it and one power head. I have since been told that this has happened because the tank is too warm. The slime is dead bacteria that died because the temp was too high *SUNSMILE*

I don't know what it is. Most of it is gone now. I reduced my temp and did a good cleaning without changing the water. I took a sample to my fish guy and he had no clue. Thanks for the help.
