After reading around it sounds like this "ich" that i see alot of when browsing.

The speckles are primarily on 2 of my barbs, and 2 others have a tiny amount.

It looks sorta like dandruff, the speckles are sort of sitting on the skin and fins.

I have here a bottle of "AQUA MASTER FUNGUS CURE"
It was left over from when my sister had goldfish, It says on the bottle that it is for fungal infections in freshwater and tropical freshwater aquarium fish.
Do i use this? If so, do i put it directly into my tank, or should i make up a small tank with a fighting fish bowl and treat them one by one.

Please help, thankyou.

Ich is not fungus so it is unlikely to work. I would try to get an ich cure. Beware as bristles are quite sensitive to meds so I always start at a half dose, and build up over a couple of hours looking for signs of an adverse reaction (like death)

ive been looking on theplantedtank and ive found something which matches the symptoms perfectly.
http://www.plantedtank.net/fishdiseases.html
White cotton sprouting from fins or body.

because none of the fish are scraping against anything, so ive put in some of my fungus fix stuff. ive put in about half strength because my fish are just babies. And the catfish is very small.

the main affected fish, one of the green tiger barbs... has died... :'(
he was acting stranger than the others, and had more of the rubbish on him.

Im really hoping that this fungus cure works, and im confident that the rest will survive the night.
